HK House

A home that speaks in quiet tones — where restrained material choices and open spatial planning create a sanctuary of contemporary calm.

A residential interior reflecting contemporary living.

Project Narrative

01Concept

HK House was conceived as a retreat from visual noise. The owners sought an interior that would age gracefully — no trends, no excess, just honest materials and proportions that feel instinctively right. Every room serves a clear purpose, and nothing competes for attention.

02Design Process

The design process began with a rigorous edit of the clients' existing possessions, identifying pieces that would anchor each room. Space planning prioritised generous circulation paths and uncluttered sightlines, giving every object room to breathe.

03Execution

A palette of warm grey plaster walls, oiled oak flooring, and blackened steel details creates a cohesive backdrop throughout. Built-in storage conceals daily clutter, allowing the architecture to remain the protagonist of each space.

04Outcome

HK House demonstrates that luxury can be defined by what is left out rather than what is added. The result is a home of effortless clarity — spaces that feel larger than their dimensions suggest, filled with light and a sense of ease.
