Project Narrative
Fujifilm's Istanbul office needed to honour the brand's Japanese heritage of precision and restraint while embracing the warmth and sociability of Turkish workplace culture. The design concept treats each room as a carefully composed frame — a nod to the company's imaging legacy.
Close collaboration with Fujifilm's global design team ensured brand consistency while allowing local adaptation. Material samples were evaluated under calibrated lighting conditions — a process borrowed from the company's own colour science — to guarantee that every surface reads true.
A monolithic reception desk in honed stone anchors the entry, while light oak and white surfaces channel Japanese minimalism. Acoustic ceiling baffles in muted tones control sound in open areas, and executive spaces feature floor-to-ceiling glazing framing the Bosphorus.
The completed office is a space where every surface and sightline has been considered with the same rigour Fujifilm applies to its optical engineering. Staff report higher satisfaction, and the space has become a model within the company's global portfolio of regional offices.

The reception area sets the tone from the first step inside. A clean white desk bearing the Fujifilm logo anchors the space, flanked by illuminated wall niches that create a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow. Behind the desk, a full-height moss wall panel introduces a living green element — a deliberate contrast to the crisp white surfaces. Oak flooring warms the palette underfoot, while glass partitions offer glimpses into the open office beyond, and a linear pendant light overhead ties the composition together with precision.

Captured mid-construction, this image reveals the spatial skeleton of the open-plan office before fit-out. Concrete columns march across a generous floor plate while linear LED channels are already suspended from the exposed ceiling, establishing the lighting rhythm that will define the finished workspace. Dark-painted walls at the far end mark what will become enclosed meeting rooms, and cable runs trailing across the screed hint at the dense MEP coordination hidden behind every polished surface. It is an honest glimpse of the craft that precedes design.

Above it, three red spherical pendant lights — the strongest colour accent in the entire office — hang at staggered heights, injecting warmth and playfulness into an otherwise monochrome palette. White cabinetry flanks the counter, oak flooring is being laid, and a construction ladder leans against the bar — a reminder that the final details are still being put in place with the same care as the first.
The break area nears completion — a black bar counter and red pendant lights define the social hub.
