ECU Worldwide's Turkey Office
Where global logistics meets Istanbul's creative spirit — a workspace that channels the energy of international commerce into every considered detail.
A modern and functional interior design for ECU Worldwide's Turkey office.
Project Narrative
ECU Worldwide's Istanbul office needed to embody the company's global reach while feeling rooted in its Turkish context. The design translates maritime logistics into spatial metaphor — open circulation routes, wayfinding through material changes, and a sense of purposeful movement.
Workplace studies with ECU's teams identified the need for both focused individual work and spontaneous collaboration. The floor plan creates a gradient from quiet concentration zones at the perimeter to social hubs at the core.
Warm timber panels frame the reception desk, acoustic ceiling baffles in muted tones control sound in open areas, and meeting rooms feature deep navy upholstery and brass hardware — a material palette inspired by the maritime heritage of the brand.
The office has become a destination within ECU's global network — a space that visiting colleagues request to work from, validating the investment in design as a tool for talent attraction and cultural identity.
Where global logistics meets Istanbul's creative spirit — a workspace that channels the energy of international commerce into every considered detail.

The entrance sequence was conceived as a transition from the bustling streets of Istanbul into a space of focused calm. Warm timber panels frame the reception desk, their grain patterns echoing the rhythm of shipping routes that define the company's global reach.
The reception area establishes the corporate identity from the first step.

Between the open-plan office and the corridor, a full-height storage wall in oak-toned panels conceals lockers and utility spaces. At its centre, a recessed planter niche backed in the company's signature yellow houses a row of lush greenery — a deliberate moment of biophilia that softens the transition between workstations and shared areas. Glass partitions alongside maintain visual transparency into the office floor beyond.
A built-in planter niche framed in brand yellow brings nature into the circulation zone.

Viewed from the wider corridor, the storage wall reveals its role as more than utility — it is a spatial marker that signals the threshold between public and working zones. The yellow-backed planter alcove glows warmly under downlights, its tropical foliage offering a living counterpoint to the restrained palette of timber, stone tile, and white walls that defines the rest of the office. This deliberate layering of natural and built elements reflects ECU Worldwide's global perspective: functional, efficient, yet attentive to human comfort.
The storage feature wall doubles as a green accent and wayfinding landmark.
