Project Narrative
The executive office for Aktaş Kimya needed to communicate authority without ostentation. The design language is direct — strong horizontal lines, a restrained material palette, and generous proportions that give the occupant both presence and privacy.
Detailed briefing sessions with the company's leadership mapped the daily rituals of executive work — formal meetings, private calls, informal tea service with visitors. Each activity was given its own spatial zone within the 200 m² footprint, eliminating conflict between functions.
A monumental desk in walnut and blackened steel anchors the principal office. Behind it, a full-height bookcase in matching timber provides both storage and acoustic absorption. The meeting zone features a circular table — a deliberate departure from the boardroom rectangle, encouraging egalitarian dialogue.
The office has become a quiet symbol of the company's values — precision, reliability, and substance over show. Visitors frequently remark on the quality of the space, which communicates corporate stature through material integrity rather than excess.
