Rus Villa

Rus Villa

A dialogue between continental traditions — a villa that translates the spatial generosity of Russian domestic architecture into a contemporary Mediterranean expression.

A modern villa design carrying Russian architectural influences.

Project Narrative

01Concept

The client's cultural heritage informed the design's spatial ambitions — generous proportions, symmetrical planning, and a formal entrance sequence that establishes ceremony upon arrival. These classical instincts are expressed through a thoroughly modern material vocabulary.

02Design Process

The plan geometry was developed through a series of proportional studies rooted in classical composition principles. Room proportions follow harmonic ratios that create a subconscious sense of order and calm throughout the residence.

03Execution

The building envelope combines rendered masonry walls with expansive glazing that opens the interior to garden views. A heated stone terrace extends the living room outdoors, while a separate guest pavilion provides autonomy for visitors.

04Outcome

Rus Villa succeeds as a cultural bridge — a home that honours its owners' heritage while embracing the climate and landscape of its Turkish setting. The result is a residence of quiet grandeur that feels both familiar and new.
