Project Narrative
RK Plaza was conceived as a catalyst for Sultanbeyli's transformation — a mixed-use development that introduces urban amenities, retail destinations, and quality housing to a district undergoing rapid change. The massing steps down from a central tower to lower wings, creating a varied skyline.
Traffic and pedestrian flow studies shaped the ground plane, with covered arcades connecting the commercial podium to surrounding streets. Underground parking for 800 vehicles was integrated early in the structural design to maximise the public realm above.
The complex employs a modular structural grid that accommodates both open-plan retail on lower floors and cellular residential units above. Curtain wall glazing on the tower provides panoramic views of the Marmara Sea, while the podium facades use stone cladding for urban presence.
RK Plaza has established itself as Sultanbeyli's commercial heart — a place where the neighbourhood gathers, shops, and lives. Its scale brings urban density without sacrificing the sense of openness that residents value.
